Links To Stuff TAA Uses & Keeps Track Of

Directory.
Following is a list of all the non-vendor links that TAA uses
or thinks are
worth keeping track of. If you know of a non-vendor link
that should be here, please call Dan Baldwin at 206-203-6115

Suppliers Used By TAA
Cellular www.Nextel.com
We've been "pushing-to-talk" for many years
Directions www.MapQuest.com
Keeps us from getting lost.
Direct Mail www.usps.com/netpost
The only way to do direct mail!
Domain Registrar www.TAAdomains.com
TAA manages all its URL or website addresses itself now by
becoming a registrar through WildWestDomains.
We previously used OrderYourDomains
who we still highly recommend.
E-blast www.BrontoMail.com
TAA uses BrontoMail for sending out all TAA email alerts &
collecting subscriber information and highly recommends them
to others. Ask for the TAA discount. TAA switched from Topica
after using Topica for several years as Topica came no where
close to offering the customization TAA required. Other
providers we have not tried include BlueHornet,
TargetWare,
IMN,
MailDog,
M4
& Cooler
Email
Fax/voicemail www.J2.com
Get a free fax number or voicemail for up to 20 messages a
month. Bigger users can pay $15 per month to get live
customer service & the ability to send faxes without a
phone line and more. TAA has used J2 for faxes services for
several years. J2 bought Efax
so we know of no other standalone virtual fax providers. If
you do please call us at 206-203-6115 x2. www.maxemail.com
Foreign Listing Want to cancel
your landline & go 100% wireless? What about your
411 listing? Make sure people calling 411 can still find you
or your business by ordering a "foreign listing"
with your local phone company. It's not something they want
you to buy so expect a little wait until they can even find
someone at the phone company that even knows what a foreign
listing is. Ask the business office if they have a special
"directory support" department. don't let them
transfer you to the Yellow Pages ad salespeople though because
they don't sell foreign listings. The term "foreign"
refers not to overseas but just to the fact that you want to
list "a number not from their service". You can list
a person's name or a business with a listed address or not.
This seems to be the only way to get your phone number (cell
phone or other) input into the national 411 directories like www.anywho.com.
This is how you would get your local
206 Kall8 numbers listed so people feel confident
they're calling a real business.
Internet Hosting www.webeditors.com
Ask for the TAA discount. We've
recently switched to WebEditors to receive more personalized
service at lower rates but can still highly recommend our
previous provider WebPublishing.
Recording To automatically
record all incoming phone calls for quality assurance
purposes, TAA uses Aftel.com's Kall8
service. If you're looking to record calls with
your PC. Check out Konexx.
To automatically let callers know you record calls to your
landline phone, anything else for that matter, try Racom's Call
Catcher. To record outbound calls check out OfficeQ.
For outbound recording with conferencing & a prepaid
payment option check out Maklitel.
Other providers: DynaMetric
Search Engines www.Google.com
The only one we generally use. If we're digging really deep
we'll also use Overture
or MSN
(the default when you just type a search term into your IE
browser).
Survey Zoomerang
We've not tried them as we get survey services through BrontoMail.
